Right in the centre of the new Fenchurch community is Fenchurch Park, a micro neighbourhood of just 112 homes of various typologies. As its name suggests, this new community is being built around a central recreational park that has been designed to encourage communal activity and build a genuine sense of community.
Triangular in shape, Stages 1 and 2 are built along two borders of the park, with Stage 3 on final side, thus closing off the pocket park and completing the neighbourhood. The first two stages, comprising 29 and 27 new homes, are all built and sold.
Stage 3, completion was December 2019, has mixed lots of freestanding and terraced homes, bringing together the best of the most popular designs of the previous two stages. Designed with diversity in mind, the varied housing typologies in Stage 3 offer something for everyone – from affordable housing first-time couples, right through to established families looking for their next-stage home. There are freestanding, terraced and duplex-style houses, with two-, three, four and five-bedroom configurations, ranging from one to three levels – some of which are expected to have clear sea views from the master bedrooms on the upper floors. So, there really is almost every combination imaginable.
